Love, love, love their wellness classes (yoga, water gym, sound healing and thai chi. Also love their salt water pool.

Their food was 2/5, Hyatt just bought the resort. This is our third time at the resort. Years ago it was so amazing and memorable.

It was relaxing, clean and you felt close to nature. The food was good and the activities offerings were nice. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

It does feel a bit outdated. The pool is a decent size but there were not enough chairs for everyone staying there. The beach was tiny, which may not be their fault. There were really only 2 restaurants available at night unless you wanted to pay for the third if you were not an "Impressions" guest. So the variety of food offerings were a bit limited.

peacefull personal boutique hotel in paradise

service was very personal, staff very friendly. restaurants with good variety, gourmet like food . it is not a big chain like hotel, more boutique style. quiet place, more mature guests. excellent Spa, pricy but excellent.

facilities kind of old, although there was no detail missing. seaweed problem, could not swim in the ocean.

Yoga was good. Pools were good. Low occupancy was good.

Biting tiny bugs on beach and by the pool. Some warning would have been helpful on check in. They did provide an effective insect repellent in bathroom, but by the time we realized we needed it, we were already itchy. Also, there were several amenities that were not explained to us that we just happened upon like a free spa session.

Not for people who want a beach vacation

Service was excellent and everyone there is so hardworking. Impressions suite from was very nice and spacious.

Very limited food selection and the beach is literally atrocious. It’s full of stinky dead fish smelling seaweed and even if it wasn’t it’s all of about 10 feet wide. A/C in the room repeatedly broke and that’s really unacceptable at $1000.00 a night.

Nice resort, but losing its special touch

Rooms are clean and all have ocean view. Food at the resort is good. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Pricing is reasonable.

The service is slipping here. They seem to have expanded and are trying to add higher level service at the expense of the rest of the resort. Not enough food options, but they keep a whole restaurant only for impressions guests? Need better focus and training for wait staff. The new room segmentation make no sense. Paying more for king size bed is ridiculous. We went to the spa pool and someone basically chased us down to see what we wanted. This area used to serve as a nice quiet area to get away from the main pool. The return attraction for us was the small nature of this property along with extra special attention to service, this is being sacrificed. The service just didn’t feel very special anymore.

Excellent

Secluded and quiet. Very relaxing environment. Staff was friendly and helpful and we felt comfortable and safe. The property is old and a bit dated but VERY well maintained. Pool was great and beach is nicely maintained and calm. Shuttle service was easy and clean and good.

The food was pretty bad. Only good meals we had were at the “fancy” dinner restaurant— but even those were inconsistent. Room service food and breakfasts are nearly inedible. Bland food and they try to skimp on the main ingredients and give too much of the cheaper less nutritious ingredients-like overloading with carbs and skimping on chicken or eggs or whatever protein is involved. The snorkeling trip was a total rip off. $160 for 30 minutes of snorkeling and then a terrible cheap attempt at a lunch—so salty and then so bland that it wasn’t edible. I understand that the resort is in Mexico- but it caters to international customers, the majority of whom speak English. Many times we found it almost impossible to communicate our orders or get our questions answered by wait staff.

Gorgeous and gracious, but you won't write home about the food.

My first all-inclusive experience. The first thing we noticed: the incredibly kind and enthusiastic staff. We were so well taken care of, and even in the short 24 hours we were on the property it seemed that the servers recognized our faces. Our room was lovely and well appointed — we especially loved the giant bathtub! There was bottled water everywhere, too — we never had to ask for it.

Apparently food is not a huge draw of all-inclusive resorts, and shame on me for not knowing that. But I really love food, and I thought overall the food was embarrassingly bad. A couple of highlights included pastries at breakfast, our steak at dinner, and the Grana Padano they served us straight out of the wheel as an appetizer with bread. But overall, the food seemed like it was taken straight off a truck and into a warming drawer. No imagination, no flavor!

Romance sweet with plunge pool

The staff was very friendly at every corner, they always asked if there was anything that they could do for you or get you. The whole property was very beautiful and well maintained, we went for our honeymoon and stayed in the romance plunge pool suite, and every morning we woke up to beautiful peacocks and iguanas. The weather report said thunder storms and rains but it was still Sunny every day.the resort has so much to offer and is very good for those just trying to relax.

The water was very dirty & filled with weeds. Although this is out of their control it did make it so you couldn't enjoy it. They definitely expect tips everywhere you are on site so keep that in mind

Beautifully designed resort, but no beach (and hence no beach vacation)

The resort is beautifully designed (well kept gardens and pool, elegant wood and tile structures), has very spacious suites facing the sea (we had a suite with a plunge pool that offered a gorgeous view of the garden and the sea) and overall good restaurants (we especially liked Kaax for dinner as in the more pretentious La Canoa we found the quality between dishes to vary more). There is a modest wellness program included led by a kind man named Daniel (we participated in the yoga sessions and sound healing which we enjoyed) and we found the Temazcal ceremony a fascinating and moving experience. Overall we also found the staff to be helpful and friendly.

What we did not like at all is the fact that there is no beach as it is covered with rotting seaweed that is not being removed. We spent the week prior at Club Med in Cancun where the beach was cleaned after seaweed had flooded it as well did we visit a beach club in Tulum where they also cleaned the beach enabling beach and water access for guests. Not so at Zoetry. In addition to the beach and sea not being accessible it also blankets the resort with the continuous very bad smell of rotten seaweed/sewer/septic tank. Not our idea of a fresh air beach vacation! The resort offers a free trip to their other property at Isla Mujeres (1.5 hour boat ride one way and apparently no seaweed issues) but then also tells you that the Endless Privileges do not apply there and that you thus have to pay for all food, drinks etc). What we also were unpleasantly surprised by were the exorbitant prices of the spa (US$ 300 for a 80 minute massage, really?). We got a set of vouchers at check-in which also included US$40 to be applied to spa treatments but even with those the prices are beyond any other spa prices I have ever seen in any other hotel we have ever stayed in). Apparently you can earn spa credits by participating in their timeshare tour, but we found that quite tasteless for what claims to be a five star property. Also the tennis court seemed to be under continuous construction (although we never saw anyone working on it during our 7 day stay here). A final element that we did not enjoy so much is the ‘tipping culture’. Although staff is friendly and helpful, the degree to which very subtly varies by the tips they get.
